How do I use Gaggel to help pay for phone damage or loss?

What are the 7 guidelines to gaggeling?

These guidelines are set out as a suggestion on how you agree to share potential costs with the people that you gaggel with. However, ultimately any gaggel customer can decide to participate or indeed not participate in any contribution towards costs.
1. Everyone makes a monthly contribution of £7.
2. The person making the claim will pay the first £50 of any loss.
3. The maximum you can claim from your gaggel is £250 per claim and per year (so you can claim for screen damage twice in one year if the combined total is below £250.)
4. Maximum contribution from any individual to a claim is £25. (apart for claimee.)
5. Any one contribution is capped at 50% of funds in wallet per claim (apart from claim.)
6. If the cost of a claim exceeds the funds contributed by their gaggel it is up to the claim to make up the balance.
7. You should use common sense for what to claim from your gaggel for damages, thefts and losses and truthfully document what has happened in the forms.
Unless you tell us otherwise, Gaggel will automatically instruct our payment partner, Lemonway, to make gaggel contributions to claims on this basis.

How does connected cover work?

When you accept a gaggel invitation or someone accepts yours, you are agreeing to mutually share up to £25 of damage or replacements costs.

What for?

This is where common sense prevails. You are agreeing to mutually cover your friends for a loss or damage as long as its deemed sensible by the group!

I haven't linked up with anyone yet, does that matter?

No. You can just take advantage of our great repair, replacement and repair service and self-insure without a gaggel.

Do I have to pay a bit extra if I claim?

Yes, the first £50. This is called an excess. We just think its a good idea!

What happens if there are no funds left in my pot, or any of my gaggle's pot, and I make a claim?

Sorry, but this could happen in rare instances, and this just means that you won't get any help with your replacement costs.

Am I liable beyond what I have in my pot?

No. If there aren't the funds in your pot to contribute a claim you are not liable for any more.

Where are my funds kept then?

Your funds are held in escrow with a company called Lemonway that is regulated to hold your funds for this purpose.

How do I cancel my membership and ask for my funds in my pot back?

You just need to send us an email. We ask you to give 1 months notice.

Anything else I should be aware of?

You can only make one claim per year.
